Vital Mind Psychology
My purpose and my passion is empowering people. I empower people by helping them tap into their strengths, rise above self-limiting beliefs and behaviours and function at their optimum. For the past 15 years I have been an avid student and observer of human psychology. My knowledge base captures diverse fields which allows me to draw upon multiple perspectives to empower people. These fields include clinical psychology, personality psychology, neuroscience, functional nutrition and coaching. My approach is calm, practical, strategic and transparent.
I look forward to working with you.

After completing six years of university training in clinical psychology, I began my career in 2008 by jumping into the deep end, working within psychiatric units at leading public hospitals in Sydney. There I came face to face with conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and severe disorders of personality. It was also there that I came to realise how limited conventional mental health care is with its false dichotomy of either “drugs” or “talking therapy” and nothing else in between.
By 2012, I began to actively incorporate lifestyle and nutritional interventions within my own private practice. I quickly found that the therapeutic results I could get with this integrative approach far exceeded using talk therapy alone (put simply, people got better sooner). An integrative approach that truly respects and takes into account the mind-body system accelerates therapeutic change.
I began to actively reach out to leading practitioners and researchers in the field of nutrition and in 2014 I was invited by my own professional society (The Australian Psychological Society) to give a seminar on the role of lifestyle and nutritional factors in the treatment of anxiety and depression. I continued to expand my integrative approach to include the use of hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) and advanced personality psychology systems to understand and assist my clients.
In September 2016 I started my channel to begin sharing the insights I had gained, never thinking that within a relatively short period my videos would earn well over 1 million views and 25,000 subscribers. I attribute the success of the channel to my ability to step outside of my traditional training and integrate diverse fields that actually enrich, not detract from, my practice of psychology.
I continue to practice as a clinical psychologist providing psychological therapy using an integrative, mind-body approach. I now have the privilege of empowering people all over the world through online coaching sessions where we work toward transformational change and achieving breakthroughs.
